5 hours + another xx hours

Today starts well but becoming frustrating from a 3pm event …

I started e-hailing at around 7am. Right before 9am, managed to get a ride from Pavilion Hotel to KLIA. Reached Grab KLIA waiting area at around 10am, my queue was 1401-1500. Then I went for my early lunch before heading to Mitsui Outlet Park to continue waiting for my queue. As I have the Touch n Go eWallet, I get a Starbucks Americano grande at RM 2.50. Taking a break with the coffee while doing some stuff with my laptop.

Every 15-25 minutes I receive notifications on my queue count down and at around 3pm, my queue was 301-350. But at 3:33pm, I received a fresh queue number of 1601-1700. IMAGINE, need to wait for another 3-5 hours again, a total of 8 hours waiting ?? Unbelievable !!

I believe it’s due to a technical issue, which is not a fair treatment to a driver. The customer service’s response is not helping the situation either.

Apart from FRUSTRATING, no other word to say at this point of time ..

When I am 100% cooling down, will try to identify the real root cause that causing this glitch. Otherwise, it might happen again, and happen to other driver who might not highlight this matter.

JPJ for PSV License

JPJ in these following few weeks are crowded with Grab drivers rushing to get their PSV license done after passing the exam before the ultimate JPJ enforcement deadline of 12th Oct.

I went to JPJ Petaling Jaya branch around 3:30pm but the queue number had been run out, meaning have to come back the next day.

But I drop by JPJ Shah Alam headquarter the next day after dropping  a rider nearby. Heavy crowd as well and the waiting time’s 1.5-2.0 hours. Need to get it done by 9th Sep in order to get credit incentive of RM 180 from Grab. Really, when there is a will, there is a way..

Chopsticks for Asam Laksa

Grab drivers tend to take a break around 11am and also 3pm, after morning peak hours and prior to after work rush, respectively.

Dropping by a shopping mall is a nice option as the car can take a break under a shade and the driver can take a toilet break and some quick bites.

In one of my pit stops, I walked pass Ah Cheng Laksa and saw a Malay man having his Asam Laksa using chopsticks which looks really encouraging in a multi-racial society.

Ordinary Malaysians are simply simple and down to earth, but they can be easily arose by extreme groups / politicians with personalized agenda. Lets play a part to make Malaysia a better country, to keep moving forward, progressive and innovative.

NGOs should organize more inter-racial dialogues to bridge the gap for races to understand each other better. As what we use to say... Tak kenal maka tak cinta

Lost iPhone

There’s a tourist left behind her iPhone X while alighting at Pavilion around 3pm.

She called me after 20 minutes while I was fetching another rider to KLIA, and the rider helped me to find the phone at the back seat, a sincere guy from AirAsia as he can just hide it and say can't fint. Then I told the tourist that I will passed back the phone in the evening when I was back to KL city center again.

Passed the phone to her husband at one of a road corner around Pavillion at 9:30pm. Her hubby gave me RM 50 as token of appreciation and I feel glad to return the lost item.

Few weeks ago, I passed back a pair of high value running shoes to a tourist from France and the feeling is really good, even though without any token of appreciation =)
